Hi there! I cannot wait to work with you. I have over a decade of experience in my chosen field including a BA in Digital Photography from the Art Institute of Phoenix, I graduated 2013 (with honors). My original focus was in photojournalism, as you might be able to tell from editorial style. I wanted to be a photojournalist because I believe images hold immense power in shaping our views of the world, It was 2004 and I was messing around with my new digital camera in my backyard when I took a photo of a dandelion (pictured below). I entered it in the local county fair and won a blue ribbon, I heard people saying things like "I've never looked at a dandelion that way" or "huh, never saw a weed as beautiful before" and I realized there is power in photography.  I wanted to use that knowledge, via photojournalism, to make the world a "better place" but I found out there is often too much bias at certain publications and the dishonesty just wasn't my cup of tea, so I decided it was better to work for myself in order to keep my passion pure and my heart light. So here I am! I know everyone has access to high quality cameras these days, often right there in your pocket (cell phones), but honestly nothing is more valuable than professional experience when it comes to capturing those important life moments.
